OPSWAT Security Score is a free computer scoring utility that scans your computer for the status of your installed security software and setup with a sore along with recommendations on how to improve both score and the security level of your computer.
It’s an interesting tool that presents a score to measure how secure your computer is from 6 categories, Firewall, HD Encryption, Patch Management, Backup, File Sharing, Anti-Virus, and Anti-Phishing software. Clicking each of the category score number brings up a recommendation window that informs you why it scores that number and what you can do to improve it.
The screenshot below basically just tells me that the uTorrent application is currently running with public file sharing enabled, indicating that turning it off will definitely improves the score and overall security level.
According to its product page:
OPSWAT’s score calculation is based on security industry and market research reports, over ten years of expertise in the security field, and feedback from leading security technology vendors on the relative importance of the categories and status of security software.
